Neftaly Special Mandela Day Awards: Honouring Everyday Heroes, Celebrating Impact
The Neftaly Special Mandela Day Awards are a prestigious recognition initiative organized by Neftaly (Neftaly Skills Development) to honour individuals, youth, community leaders, and organizations who exemplify the values and legacy of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. These awards are part of Neftaly’s annual Mandela Day commemorations and serve as a platform to spotlight selfless service, active citizenship, and grassroots leadership.
Each year, on or around July 18th, Neftaly pays tribute to Mandela’s legacy by shining a light on unsung heroes who make extraordinary contributions to their communities—often without seeking recognition or reward.
Purpose and Vision of the Awards
The Neftaly Special Mandela Day Awards were created to:
Inspire active community engagement through the stories of individuals who are making a difference.
Recognize outstanding service and leadership in underserved, rural, and urban communities.
