    Purpose: Mobilizing Youth and Elders Workshop for Old Mutual

    1. Opening

    The meeting commenced promptly at 13:30 PM.

    An opening song was led by Linah Ralepelle.

    • Introduction and Purpose

    Lizzy Maseko introduced herself as a supplier with Old Mutual based in Tembisa, focusing on marketing and community engagement.

    She described the “Meet and Discuss” program designed to foster dialogue and empowerment between youth and elders.

    Each session is expected to last about two hours, incorporating refreshments and structured information-sharing.

    • Logistics and Capacity

    Regaugetswe Netshiozwe mentioned a presumed capacity of 300 attendees for Old Mutual events.

    Maseko confirmed this, stating that the host organization is responsible for venue setup and ensuring enough capacity for 300+ participants.

    • Target and Flexibility

    Netshiozwe inquired about minimum participant numbers.

    Maseko assured that the program would proceed regardless of final attendance, emphasizing the facilitators’ commitment to delivery.

    • Recruitment and Resources

    Linah Ralepelle raised questions about logistical requirements, which included:

    • Chairs
    • Phones
    • Participants’ dates of birth
    • Microphones
    • Projector
    • Final venue confirmation

    Netshiozwe added that Neftaly would manage risk on the event day and support participant recruitment on behalf of Old Mutual.

    • Current Status and Needs

    Maseko explained that she reached out to Neftaly to assist in sourcing suitable beneficiaries.

    Neftaly currently has 50 potential participants interested in the training.

    There remains a need to intensify mobilization efforts to reach the target of 300, focusing on individuals aged 18 and above.

    • Next Steps

    1. As Neftaly Development Royalty will present the program to  board members about the workshop and discussions with Miss Lizzy.

    2. Wait for feedback from the board members, CEO, and operations and monitoring Royalty.

    3. Once feedback is received, share the outcome with Miss Lizzy and discuss potential next steps for collaboration.

    4. Based on the feedback and discussions, determine how to move forward with the opportunity and how to work together to benefit the community.
