1. Message from the Founder
Dear Stakeholders, Partners, and Community Members,
2006 marked the birth of Neftaly—a bold vision turned reality. What began as a youth-led initiative to address the growing crisis of unemployment, school dropout, and poverty in Johannesburg’s townships has now grown into a registered development organization committed to empowerment and social change.
This year, we laid the foundation—formed partnerships, launched pilot programs, and most importantly, we listened to the needs of the young people we serve.
We are proud to share our first annual report, and we are filled with hope and determination as we step forward.
In solidarity,
Xolani Mlambo
Founder & Executive Director
Southern Africa Youth Project (Neftaly)
