The session officially began at 12:40 PM with an opening song and prayer led by Naledi Mabuyela.
Facilitator Andrice Macuacua welcomed participants and introduced the session’s theme: “Public Transport Improvement Competition.”

The aim of the session was to invite innovative and practical proposals that could enhance the quality, sustainability, and efficiency of public transportation systems.

Participants are expected to focus on the following key areas:

  • Reducing environmental pollution from transport systems.
  • Improving safety, accessibility, and affordability for all commuters.
  • Enhancing efficiency and sustainability in operations and management.
  • Integrating technology to make transport more convenient and user-friendly.

Speaker 1: Anami Beni

“You are kindly invited to the Public Transport Improvement Competition. We need people who will submit their proposals, including solutions and ideas to improve transportation.
For example, consider how to reduce environmental pollution.
The best proposal will be recognized and awarded. I won’t say much — just submit your proposal and see what we have prepared for you.”


Speaker 2: Mahlatse

“Good day everyone.
I would like to invite you all to participate in the Public Transport Improvement Competition.
We are seeking innovative ideas to enhance public transportation services — making them more efficient, sustainable, and user-friendly.
The best proposal will win recognition and could potentially help shape the future of transportation in our communities.
