1. Introduction

2020 was a year unlike any other. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges to communities across South Africa and beyond. For Neftaly Charity, this meant adapting quickly, rethinking our programmes, and finding innovative ways to continue serving our beneficiaries despite restrictions.

Our focus during this year was on resilience, relief, and recovery. While we maintained our core commitment to education, skills development, and youth empowerment, we also expanded into emergency relief and community health support to meet urgent needs.

2. Message from the Chairperson

The year 2020 tested our strength as an organisation. Despite the uncertainty brought by the pandemic, Neftaly Charity stood strong and continued to make a difference in people’s lives. I am proud of our staff, volunteers, and partners who demonstrated commitment, creativity, and compassion during this difficult time.

Together, we reached thousands of young people and families with programmes, food parcels, and health awareness initiatives. We thank every donor and partner who walked with us during this challenging year.
